We are delighted to announce that our guest speaker will be Manuela Ronco, a native Italian now living in Bratislava. Manuela studied Intercultural Communication and Sociology. A one time active participant in TEJO (the World Esperanto Youth Organisation), in 2014 she co-founded “Equality”, the first Esperanto blog on feminism and social justice. She is currently an active participant in the literary community Bobelarto.
The Congress will take place in the Dunfermline Carnegie Library.
Currently we are finalising the programme and more precise details will follow soon.
At the moment we can say that there will be a getting-to-know-you session on the Friday evening followed by a meal together in a nearby restaurant.
The Saturday programme will be the fullest of the whole event with talks and presentations running from 10 am until 4 pm. We will take breaks and lunch in the Library’s Granary Cafe, although there are plenty of other good eateries in the vicinity, for those who’d prefer an alternative. In the evening we’ll enjoy the Congress Meal in one of the nearby restaurants
The Sunday morning excursion will be a visit to Andrew Carnegie’s birthplace museum, preceded by a relaxed breakfast in the City Hotel. Carnegie is estimated to have been worth over 300 billion dollars in today’s terms. He gave away almost 90 percent of his fortune, to charities, foundations and universities. The afternoon programme will include the AGM of the Scottish Esperanto Association.
On Monday there will be a post-Congress visit on foot to the ruins of the Royal Palace and the Mediaeval Abbey where Robert the Bruce is interred. For those who remain we will have lunch together before final goodbyes.
Ni ĝojas anonci ke nia gastpreleganto estos Manuela Ronco, denaska Italo kiu nun loĝas en Bratislava. Manuela studis pri Interkultura Komunikado kaj Sociologio. Iama TEJO-aktivulo, en 2014 kunfondis “Egalecen”, la unuan Esperantan blogon pri feminismo kaj socia justeco. Ŝi nuntempe aktive partoprenas en la literatura komunumo Bobelarto.
La Kongreso okazos en la Biblioteko de Dunfermline, Carnegie.

Je la nuna momento ni scias ke okazos konatiĝa sesio vendredan vesperon, kun posta kunmanĝo en apuda restoracio.
La sabata programo estos la plej okupata de la tuta evento kun prelegoj kaj prezentoj de la 10a matene ĝis la 4a posttagmeze. Ni prenos kafpaŭzojn kaj lunĉon en la kafejo “Granary” en la Biblioteko mem, sed estas multaj bonaj manĝejoj en la ĉirkaŭaĵo por tiuj, kiuj volas havi alternativon. En la vespero okazos la Kongresa Bankedo en unu el la pluraj apudaj restoracioj.
La dimanĉmatena ekskurso estos vizito al la naskiĝdoma muzeo de Andrew Carnegie, post senstreba, matenmanĝo en la hotelo City. Oni konjektas ke li riĉegis je pli ol 300 miliardoj da dolaroj laŭ moderna kurzo. Li fordonis preskaŭ 90% de sia mono al bonfaraj organizoj, fondaĵoj, kaj universitatoj. La posttagmeza programo enhavos la jarkunvenon de Esperanto-Asocio de Skotlando.
Lunde okazos post-kongresa vizito al la ruinoj de la Reĝa Palaco kaj al la Mezepoka Abatejo kie estis enterigita Robert the Bruce. Por tiuj, kiuj restas ni kune manĝos antaŭ la lastaj ĝisoj.
